Metallic Epoxy Training

Learn more than how to pour a metallic floor.

Metallic systems are more than the design. The design is the middle of the system. What's under it and over it decides how it performs.

Learn the preparation, installation, design, and protection that go into building a complete metallic flooring system.

More than the design

The design is the middle of the system.

Metallic epoxy education should go beyond learning how to manipulate colors and create effects. The design is only one part of a complete system.

The installer also needs to understand the concrete, preparation, repairs, base system, installation process, working time, environment, and protection and topcoat system.

That's the difference between pouring material on a floor and building a flooring system that performs.

What goes into a metallic system

The design is the middle of the system.

A metallic floor starts long before the decorative pour and continues after the design is finished. Learn to think about the entire system — from the concrete underneath it to the protection on top of it.

Prep • Profile • Repair

The finished system starts with the concrete. Understanding the slab, creating the proper surface profile, grinding, addressing cracks and repairs, and preparing the substrate for the system being installed.

02

Moisture Vapor Barrier

What is happening below the coating matters. Understanding moisture conditions and when a moisture vapor barrier or mitigation system needs to become part of the overall flooring system.

03

Primers & Base Coats

Build the foundation before the design. Understand the role of primers and base coats and how the layers underneath the metallic design contribute to the complete system.

Metallic Epoxy Design Layer

This is where the design comes to life. Build confidence pouring, placing, moving, blending, and creating metallic epoxy designs while understanding that the decorative layer is only one part of the complete flooring system.

White Poly Metallic Systems

Metallic design is not limited to traditional epoxy systems. Installers can learn different materials and approaches to creating metallic flooring systems rather than treating every metallic floor exactly the same.

Topcoats & Protection

The system is not finished when the design is finished. Protection should be considered around the environment, traffic, wear, chemical exposure, and durability required from the finished floor.

Sacrificial Clear Coats & Maintenance

Think beyond installation day. Understanding sacrificial clear coats, ongoing protection, and how a finished decorative floor can be maintained over its service life helps installers think about long-term floor performance.

Real-world training

Learn it. Apply it. Build on it.

Concrete & Coatings School is built around real-world concrete and coatings work. The goal is not simply to teach one metallic technique.

The goal is to help installers understand how metallic epoxy fits into a larger set of concrete and coatings skills so they can become more well-rounded installers and provide more solutions.

Don't be a one-trick pony.
